During the election season, we have several events that have already come and gone, and even more in the planning.
World AIDS Day Awareness - Winter Community Project
The Young Democrats will be assisting the Gay-Straight Alliance in their World AIDS Day Awareness on December 1, 2010. The event will be held on the Mesa State College Grand Junction campus. Please see the attached picture and/or see our press release for further information.

Whirlwind Rallies
On October 21st, the Young Democrats are hosting several candidates during our first ever "Whirlwind Rallies." Please join us to make it a success and to learn more about your candidates.

Melissa Hart's Campaign for CU Regent-at-large
Claudette Konola for Colorado State Sentate District 7
John Salazar's Campaign for Congress

Secretary of State Bernie Buescher Rally
On October 20th, the Young Democrats will be holding a rally for Bernie Buescher. The doors open at 1:30 for seating, Mr. Buescher speaks at 2 and the event will wrap up around 3:30. We will be on the Academic Classroom Building Terrace (3rd floor).

General Assembly Meeting
Join us on Wednesday, October 13th for our General Assembly Meeting. We will be in ACB Room 212 at 5:00. Please be there as we will be going over our upcoming rallies and getting everyone involved.
Phone Banking - US Senator Michael Bennet
On October 8th starting at 10 am, we will be phone banking at US Senator Michael Bennet's campaign office on Main Street - 542 Main Street, 4th floor.
Claudette Konola Rally
On September 29th, the Young Democrats hosted Claudette Konola on Mesa State Campus for an hour long rally.

Fall Community Activity - Voter Awareness with Rock the Vote
On September 29th from 10:00 to 2:00, members of the Young Democrats canvassed campus and also had a table set up in the Academic Classroom Building to make students aware that voting is important and that the last day to register to vote was just around the corner (Oct 4th).

Student Activities Fair
The Student Activities Fair is put on by the Club Advisory Board at Mesa State College in order to introduce the students to the various clubs and activities on campus.
